Tenaris offers plain-end, high-strength pipes in line pipe and OCTG chemistries.
Risers for challenging dimensional requirements
Dry tree solutions are constantly being evaluated and installed in oil and gas deep-water and ultra-deep water markets all over the world.
Because of their reduced movement, Spars and TLPs require Top Tensioned Riser systems which connect the sub-sea well bore to the floating production vessel, enabling the installation of Christmas trees on the dry floating deck.
Top Tensioned Riser pipes are normally in contact with high-pressure production fluids and are subjected to dynamic loads. Tenaris offers the following solutions covering the most common dimensional range for these complex environments:
- Plain-End High-Strength Pipes – LP Chemistry (of up to X100 Non Sour and up to X70 sour service)
- Plain-End High-Strength Pipes – OCTG Chemistry (up to 140 Ksi)
In challenging environments, such as deep water and corrosive settings, Hi/Lo values during welding must be guaranteed to meet stringent fatigue requirements.
To facilitate the welding process, we provide stringent ID end tolerances through specific processes, such as:
Depending on the workover requirements, Top Tensioned Risers can be single or dual cased. The risers are installed directly from the drilling derrick on the platform by making up a series of riser joints equipped with threaded connectors.
The connectors are available in the following configurations
- Weld on (forged connectors to be welded on plain end pipe)
